ok guys, i've been wanting to get a dvd on vegas for the last week and after reading this post, i order the same one from Mobile Pro Video. BTW John, you crack me up. Let's cross our fingers and hope that this tutorial is worth the money.

Well, the Kleiner DVDs are in the house. Just watched the first few segments -- really basic stuff so far. Lots of emphasis on the keyboard shortcuts.

Will let you know what I think of the rest.

Oh, he states right at the beginning that they only cover certain aspects of Vegas -- they specifically do not include coverage of Hi-Def, 5.1 sound, and some of the more advanced features.

Im on Chapter 30 of 62 (Disc 1) and already have learned an assload ofinfo. Basic, yes. But no less important! I can already see this was well worth the money spent!

By "basic," I certainly didn't mean to imply "unimportant," course! :) It's definitely a building-block approach.

BTW, my girlfriend called just as I got into a few chapters.  Tore me away with the lame excuse that her plane was in early and she needed to be picked up at the airport . . .   :P

Yes. It is well worth the money. I've had Vegas for about 3 weeks and pretty much was stumbling along.

Im not even done with Disc 1 and am like "No way!"

Very easy to follow and well presented. Hlaf of the stuff is like "That's it?!"

It is so easy! I'm basically watching the DVD with Vegas open. When he covers a topic, I pause and do what he does and then come back and watch.

Very cool stuff. Well worth the money. I cant wait for Disc 2! Funny, the answer to the question on this original post is in my head now. Super easy!

Well John, I'm glad it helped. Like I said, they are for beginners, but it's important to start with the basics because the basics of Vegas are different than the basics of any other editing program I've used. So, for the cheap price, they seem like a good product.
