Already own GH2; keep my 7d + Tokina 11-16mm, or get another GH2?

Getting that wide end on the 2x crop at such a fast speed and with such nice results, and the fact that it's cheaper than a Tokina with a descent adapter or even the Olympus 12mm f2 by several hundred dollars and that it offers a wider aperture than both makes the market for a fast wide angle on the M43 format more accessible by a wider portion those consumers who are on a budget. Name one lens that competes with it for price and speed. So I'd say that it changes the fast wide angle lens game for this format, wouldn't you?

MMM, no!
I think the term game changer has been thrown out there so often now for every little thing that is does not hold the meaning it once held. In my opinion this is just another lens, not a game changer.

A new technology where cameras no longer needed lenses, would be a game changer.

All the Best!

Something to consider on this topic- Canon DigicV cameras are around the corner that will supposedly clean up the resolution and moire problems that have caused a lot of people to run to the GH2 in the first place. There's even talk (all unconfirmed rumors at this point) that an affordable Rebel series, perhaps the T4i, could be out with the chip in a few months from now.

That, in my opinion, would give the best of both worlds- the variety of glass and fantastic still capabilities of a native EOS mount combined with the clean video of sensor resampling found on the GH2. But we'll see if there is any truth to that.

IMO, I'd get another GH2 instead of waiting for a new Canon to come out and fix the moire problems that the current line of Canon's in the GH2's price range have. A GH2 + SLR Magic 12mm f1.6 gives you a set up which is close to the wide angle of the 7D with the Tokina and with none of the acid trip moire problems... Plus the GH2 set up will actually cost quite a bit less. Heck, if you like the look and zoom range of the Tokina you could always just trade your EOS mount in for a Nikon mount and pony up for an adapter.

What on earth are you shooting that need's to be that wide anyway? I find it hard enough to be in any situation where my GH2 + 14-42mm is not wide enough...

Either way I'd get the GH2.
