Sometimes: silence can be your best friend.

And here it would have been your best friend.

He's alone, he's afraid...silence...some creaking....suddenly sounds that you hear in a empty space and don't know where it comes from...
some wind, maybe some low rumble. All sounds cut away except for dialogues, and all the other sounds he makes in Foley.

Music can be there then when it realy get's suspens/frightned/and so on...

Now I'm like: "héé you (the actor)...just walk to the front door...yes the front door... Or try a window... step out and go to Wendy's hamburger "

- 00:40, watch out for own shadows.... coming from light above... See what's in the frame... Don't just look at the acting but also, what's in the frame,
how's the light', how the place (art, props, clothes) does he do everything right (continuity)

Ok, now you should know why a film-crew exisits out of 30 people Not that you need 30 people but having a DOP and director can do miracles.
If you would be afraid to "give out" stuff and think "yeah, but they never will do what I want and not getting my idea"... No...they will come up with better
ideas. This is not directed to this short or you (mister Justin) personaly...It's more general

1:25, how did he know there was someone passing ? I don't have eyes on my back...and we don't hear him...

The "handycam" is nice. And some other shots are nice too like when pointing the gun.

He wants to kill himself... I don't know but if I think someone is in my place, and I see there's nobody...I'm just going to order pizza....
and if the other guy is fast enough he can get some too...

About the gunshot.... it's bad, doesn't fit, to low in quality....it's from those "fee library" cd's or from another video on youtube ?
And it's also to short, it's "cutted"....
