Allister Chapman after S-Log tests "between 1.5 and 2 more stops"

This is utter nonsense - I have shot with both - F3 is great, but F35 is better in this regard. also, 5D does not have as much latitude as Red MX - this is also completely ludicrous.

depends on how you are shooting the f3 and f35, you'll get great results either way, and probably much better color rendition out of the f35 because it's CCD. f3 even with log probably holds a little less than f35, but it's bottom end is really where it truly shines. even if you are exposing to protect your highlights more rather then "letting it go" you can dig back out your bottom end with little to no noise penalty. It's still the "digital" way of lighting and exposure, but there were always massive noise penalties. it's kind of a good marriage of finding the middle ground of lighting for "film" and lighting for "digital". i do personally feel the f35 is way out dated tech, and it's brought us great images but should be gracefully retired very soon...

I'm afraid that these were the SCCE test results from phase one. If 140 people can't get it right in independent testing no one ever will. It was done with an external recorder!

However, what I was discussing was the F3 after S-Log is added, which will add a couple of stops. In addition, even the people that have had a chance to use S-Log don't have a lot of experience with it.
