Hello,
My name's Kevin, and although I've been a long time cruiser of these boards, this is my first post. Needless to say, I have grown to respect the opinions of everyone who posts here, as you all seem intelligent, respectful, informed, and most importantly, passionate about the DVX and all things encompassing.
Basically, I am just purchasing my first DVX now. I wanted to post here and see if I could solicit some personal experiences/recommendations/advice on a number of different accessories that I am looking to purchase along with the camera. To make things easy, I'll just make a list of the accessories, and any information any of you could provide on any of them, whether it be a paragraph or a sentence, would be extremely helpful and appreciated. Here goes:
1. Anamorphic Lens Adaptor - This is a must, as I've read great things here. Best price you guys have seen it at? Best retailer?
2. Good Quality Camera Bag - Keeping price in mind, what have you guys found to be a really reliable sturdy bag, and where can I find it?
3. Tripod - Looking for quality without unnecessary expense.
4. Batteries - I would like 3 - 5 hour Li-ion batteries, perhaps you guys know of great deals/reliable batteries, or have had bad experiences with certain ones.
5. Also interested in Glidecam Smooth Shooter (w/ 4000 Pro) and some type of crane. Anybody know of cost-effective cranes, or perhaps plans for home-made cranes.
