All-Intra400 file handling

OK...So I've just shot a bunch of latitude and noise tests on an EVA1. I typically live in the world of Arri and Prores.

So, what is the best way to handle the footage? I more or less use DaVinci Resolve these days, but the media does not seem to want to import. But I do have access to FCPX if I need it. I do not use Premiere nor do I have any desire to deal with it.

I need to keep the footage at the highest quality as I'm dealing with Netflix constraints.

Thanks.

To import into Resolve, you have to suck it up and buy the Studio version. The free version doesn't enable you to import 4K 10-bit files of the codecs recorded by EVA1, LongGOP or All-I.

I piggyback on this thread..
I have a playback issue with the native files of the EVA-1 and GH5 in FCPX on a maxed out 2015 27" iMac.
I have to trancode everything to proxy or optimised aka ProRes which is time consuming and annoying.
FS7 and C300 works like a charm.

Hmmm looks they might have finally got me!!!

Its OK. I have the pocket 4k preordered. So, I'll have the Studio version soon enough. I dual recorded...so I have the ProRes files. Will eventually peep the All-I.

Thanks.

You should be able to revert back to an earlier version. I use Davinci 12.0 free version and have no problems importing All-I from my GH5s. I also worked with my GH5.

2017 maxed gpu iMac works on playback. Prefer proxy editing for speed for bigger projects
