I've been searching on the internet and on the forums here and I haven't found any articles on this issue, so it leads me to believe it is a major problem with the internal components of the camera.
It seemed to come out of nowhere. Meaning, the camera wasn't dropped (that I know of) or messed with in any way. When we went into the menu settings and changed the camera to shoot in 1080/24p, the image behind the menu turned purple. It does this for all 1080 settings, but not 720 or 480.
When it's purple, you can still kind of see the image that the camera is seeing, meaning you can see figures and shapes, but EVERYTHING is purple and overblown. I'll try to get a picture of the display, but I don't have the camera with me currently.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated, but it kind of seems like a major problem that will need to be solved by Panasonic.
