Many years ago DVXUser had a contest -- write a 6-page script. For that contest I wrote a script called "Alien Abduction". I always thought it would make a good short film.

Many years later I dusted off that old script, fleshed it out more (since it no longer had to be just 6 pages), and decided to produce it. My business partner and I got the funds together, secured everything and everyone we needed, and she directed the film. (First time director!) We shot the film in less than 24 hours.

The finished film went to a number of film festivals, where it won 6 awards including "Audience Choice" and "Critics' Choice". And now it's been released publicly on YouTube.

So here is "Alien Abduction"....

"Deputy Sheriff John Rockland desperately searches for his missing wife Annie, convinced she has been abducted by ALIENS from another galaxy! But the truth is much more terrifying! And IT'S COMING!!!"

I was entertained :)
I liked the danky lighting in the cellar there.
The dialogue was ok. I liked the main guy's delivery. Served the character well to have that accent.

I think overall, it's a fun short. Some of the technical aspects like editing, colours and some of the angles could use some work. Sound design could also be a little better. The heavy room acoustics was a little jarring. Not that I'm a sound designer though.

However, the fact that you shot it in less than 24 hours is pretty impressive..!

Thanks so much!

Yeah, we had a very limited availability on the location, which prevented us from getting the coverage we needed. We also had an incredibly small budget, most of which was spent on the alien mask. We're now in the process of expanding the script into a feature-length movie. Thanks for the feedback!

Good luck with that!
