Alexa mini LF and S1H quick test

Very nice. I'm surprised the S1H doesn't clip sooner than it does here. Is the Alexa LUT clippier or does the S1H have better dynamic range than I remember?

The S1H is really good DR, prob one of the best out there for a not being a “cinema camera”- there’s probably 1 stop less in the highlights or so than the Alexa- maybe 1.5 stops- this footage is from two different days though so I’d need to do a true side by side to see. The LF just had a regular 709 transform.

@Hunter With how well the BMPCC6K was praised for matching Alexa color, why did you end up grabbing a S1H?

Hunter! This post has nothing to do with your video... just want to say it was such a thrill to see your name credited as DP on Hulu's "Taste the Nation". My wife and I genuinely think the show is one of the best food-themed serials we've seen because it offered real substance by diving into the regional and cultural relevance of each cuisine. You should be proud.
