Looked good, except for possible corrosion :( . Still may of been fun to try and get her up and running.

I saw that too. My feeling was that whoever was selling this camera knew of more damage and that it wasn't worthwhile to fix the camera. You have to assume that a 40k camera is worth fixing unless the damage is catastrophic. All you need is one or two fried boards inside to add up to 10's of thousands of dollars. Water is the one thing that makes fixing circuit boards very hard.

I was wondering with all the other strange items the seller was selling, did they look into how bad the corrosion went? The exterior of the camera looked ok, the sensor looked untouched from what I could see zooming in. I guess if this camera got dropped in water that's enough for it to work it's way through the vents and into the boards? Would have been nice to of had a look in person.

Expensive paper weight.

Talking of expensive paper weight red one camera is now same price as F3 used: http://www.ebay.com/itm/17157704363...l?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=171577043634&_rdc=1

Many sell for $3000 range price.

I'm certainly no Red fanboy, but I do think it's fair to point out there's a significant difference between the Red One (original) and the Red One MX, and that the unit linked here comes without the LCD screen and essentially no accessories. Very bare bones. Well rigged Red One MX packages with a fair bit of accessories seem to command between $6000 and $10,000 last I checked.

I don't think it was Visual Products that was selling that Alexa.

Honestly, I didn't put it together until Ryan said it, but it all adds up.

"Spare Time Products"
"Visual Products"

- Both are in Wellington Ohio.

Spare Time Products has high end video gear listed "AS-IS" and "For Prop"... looks like a seperate business front for the same people to me.

Trust me. I'm from Ohio... nobody else is in Wellington would be selling a 4:3 Alexa body. Hahaha.

It's probably stuff they have that isn't worth advertising on the website. They are probably just looking to clear it out.

That Ebay account (SparetimeProducts) is selling an 18k light 'prop' light that doesn't work too. The photograph just happens to be taken outside of Visual Product's loading bay door. Coincidence? I think not.
