A band I did a doc on a little while back (trailer: http://vimeo.com/6692368) wanted me to cut together a commerical for their upcoming album. I've been tweaking it for a couple days trying to get it just right, the band likes it, but it feels like something's missing...



They gave me the audio track and v.o. to cut to.

Would doing some fancy motion with the text work or just look tacky?

Let me know what you think.
 
Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'm never really satisfied with a project unless its perfect and better than the one before.
 
It's fine.

IMHO, I would have used different talent for the VO. (that may be what's throwing you off about it, it is me).

Good text by the way, it suits the ad.

The V.O. was done by the one guy they could afford - their bassist. That's him at his most excited.
 
i mean, where is this comercial going to be played. if your trying to get a tv spot with that, it just doesnt really have that professional of a look to me. maybe if its just going online though.
