AJA Ki Pro Quad info up on the AJA website

I love AJA as a company and every product I've bought of theirs has been rock solid. That said, the Ki Pro Quad looks BIG. I can't find specs on the size or weight, so maybe it's not as heavy as it looks. I do like the arrangement of it as a side facing brick on the rails, with the controls facing the left side of the camera.

The DNxHD firmware is available. I've already updated my mini and tested it in Avid MC6. It's all good. Go to AJA site and go to support.

This recorder interests me now the Ki Pro architecture is maturing and they are beginning to catch up on the feature set and i/o they promised a few years back. I suspect the size is more to do with aluminum heatsinks inside the unit which should add a lot to the weight in relative terms. The size is still completely workable when put behind a camera rig on rails setup.

Does anyone know if they have added "media rollover" as a feature yet?

No rollover yet, interesting read though on the release notes;

• Improved the behavior for handling voltage changes when used with batteries.
• Improved the sensitivity to minor SDI RP188 timecode disruptions.

If you have been using the mini over the past year you'll know about this fix.
