I'm having trouble getting my AJ-PCD10 P2 drive to mount correctly on my Macbook Pro laptop -- and I've tried it on a friend's G5 as well with the same result. The included drivers are installed -- both for the HVX200 camera and the P2 drive.
The P2 drive tries to mount on the desktop and then fails -- dropping the connection without "ejecting" -- and giving the "device not correctly put away ... data may be lost ..." error message. Nothing I tried solves this problem.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a solution?
I've noticed that Panasonic is now shipping the AJ-PCD20 -- which has a Firewire port as well as the USB connection that the AJ-PCD10 unit has -- and the AJ-PCD10 is no longer mentioned on the Panasonic site. Did it have some known issue? Or is it just my configuration that doesn't work ...? Either way, for $2000 I would expect some basic functionality, at least.
