I'm working with a Post House in Seattle (Modern Digital), and the following question was posed: "If using the Panasonic AJ-HD1200A deck to up-convert our edited master to 1080i should the DVX-100A be shot in 24p advanced?" I was stated by our contact that they thought it made a difference whether it was 24p normal or 24P Advanced. It was also stated that the deck could do the up-convert internally. They suggested to contact Panasonic with this question; however, I know many knowledgeable folks are here, including those from Panasonic…can you help with this question Jan, or does anyone else know the answer?
In addition do I edit in FCP on a 29.97 timeline or 24P timeline with appropriate pull-down?
