Airport Ideas

I am going to take my DVX on a plane for the first time. I am wondering what to do exactly. I have the pelican waterproof hard case. But I am in no way thinking that I would check the DVX in that. I think I will carry it on in a backpack. But is there any way that the dvx can be hurt by going through the xray machines. Or the tape for that matter. As far as I know, none of this stuff has any effect on the camera or tape. But I thought I would get everyone's ideas of what they do. Thanks guys.

Re: Airport Ideas

No problem with X-rays and the DVX or tapes. I've found a camera backpack to be the best thing for traveling. Just make sure it's a legal carry on size.

Re: Airport Ideas

That's probably the easiest way. Pelican makes one case that is specifically 'just under' the standard carry-on dimensions, but I don't remember the model number. Well-padded backpack or a portabrace as a carryon is fine. And yes, there is no problem with X-rays (discussed elsewhere).
