I made a short film for a theatre arts class where we were supposed to adapt Buffy the Vampire Slayer to theatre. I decided that I wanted to make a PSA about how to kill vampires which would play in one of the scenes for a stage adapted Buffy.
The script was 6 pages long and the short itself totaled to 5 and a half mins.
We used the DVX100B for the shoot. Shot in 24p Advanced with two 650 Fresnel and a 1k flood.
The shooting took three nights. The first day took about two hours. The second day took six hours because of the elaborate fight and light set ups. The third day took about three hours.
Everything went smoothly, especially the stylized fight scene. I called one of my stunt man friends from LA to be my opponent, for he had the style of movement I was looking for.
