There are no cameras under $10,000 that have 16:9-shaped CCD's. There are no CCD's that are 16:9-shaped that are smaller than 2/3" either.
There is a new class of camera that uses a 4:3 megapixel CCD and samples a patch off of it that's shaped 16:9, which they're calling "true 16:9"... and it's partially true. You do get a lot of resolution, more than any "fake 16:9" interlaced camera. But the problem with those megapixel cameras is that they deliver horrible low-light performance and overall nowhere near as good video quality as the DVX. Examples of those cameras would be the Panansonic PV-DV953, which invented the technology, and the Sony PDX10/TRV950, which popularized it.
A DVX100A in progressive scan/Squeeze Mode can deliver just as high resolution as those megapixel cameras, but with better overall video quality. In interlaced mode, it can't compare for resolution, but in progressive it's as high-resolution as ANY 16:9 camera.
