Again -- why is this a crisis?

I understand that ticket prices cannot be .10 anymore; but $12.50 ? I only go when I HAVE TO GO. I saw 3 movies in theatres this summer; all matiness.

I'm with David; too many dumbassess at the theatre and too expensive

You pay 12.50??!! WAAAAAAAT?!?!

i pay 7 dollars!!

then student discoutn...5 bucks...dammmnn you guys get ripped off..

I don't go to theatres anymore because I have no control over my experience. Last time I went to see LOTR My ****ing ears were almost bleeding...Nobody should have to suffer sound as loud as they were running it. Then, as usual, some snotty nosed little kid behind me starts kicking the back of the seats cos he's hyperactive or something. I always wait for the DVD now and watch at home as many times as I want and I don't have to go through the scuse me, scuse me thing if I gotta take a leak. And best of all I fit on my couch!! Not all scrunched up for two hours like a space station visitor....I don't have a freakin clue what's up with Hollywood though.

I can't stand it when people talk during movies. Drives me nuts. I've contemplated violence because of stupid people ruining the experience. One guy answered his phone and had a conversation during a film.

If prices jack up to 12.50 I am done with the theatre experience.

The worst that could happen is that theater owners might get so desperate that they will

-- Drop ticket prices

-- Clean up the theaters

-- Keep idiots from ruining the experience for everyone else

Amen to that! ticket prices are second only to gasoline prices on the raping-the-populace scale.

haha you all get ripped off at the box office! haha

Aside from the ticket prices, filthy theatres, dumb movies, and everything else...

Hollywood had a very good run for a number of years. Why don't they do what sensible investors do - compare the latest results with, say, 10-year moving average?

I guess because they wouldn't have much to complain about... I don't know - which laws says that things only have to go up?
