Again, Red X of death.

I've looked over the thread concerning the Red X. However, everyone seemed to agree that the X is regarding dirty heads. I've only recieved to X when I have the "Marker" on. Then, the only way it goes away is to power down and back up.

Has anyone experienced the Red X in situations other than dirty heads?
 
The red X is for dirty heads. If you're getting it, it's because you have dirty heads. Anything else it seems to pop up for is coincidence.
 
I understand. But I used it all day today and never saw it until the "Marker" mode was on. Turned the camera off, then on again and used it for a while longer. Decided to try "Marker" again, and the X came up. It only come up once "Marker" mode is selected. I don't think it is coincidence. But as I'm finding out, there are more and more little glitches that I must learn to live with.
 
Actually, pressing marker causes a small amount of oxide to be deposited in the head gap which results in:

DIRTY HEADS.

Maybe it's because you were shooting in Manhattan. I've heard that heads don't get dirty in Brooklyn... or something.
 
Its not that I don't believe all of you, I do. I was just wondering if anyone experienced the red X in regards to other problems.
 
I'm not quite sure, but I think it has something to do with that nasty sounding clunk... or CLEANING THE DAMN HEADS.:laugh:
