ag hvx200 versions

hi there all,

i was looking to upgrade to an hvx200 and i noticed that the hvx line has not been upgraded like the dvx line (with its 100/100a/100b versions). i was wondering if any of you out there have heard about any upgraded versions, because i'd hate to by the 200, a week before the 200a comes out.

It's really about time with an upgrade, but my guess is that the updates won't come to the imaging parts of the cam.

Here are my favourite suspectsx:

1. HD-SDI out BEFORE compression
I cannot really see one sngle reason this was left out of the cam in the first place. Would have increased value of cam ridicoloously without adding significant cost, especially as of point 2

2. The component out solution sucks
Plain and simple
This contact is made to break or to only to be looked at so people can tell you:
Hey: We have component out.

It's the worst engineered piece on the cam... except for point 3

3. The firewire port
I know. I've been told that they break on the good ole PD 150 too, but the degree of abuse I put that cam under without a hickup, and the ratio of broken Panny FW ports is... discouraging.
Haven't broken here yet.
Will one day...

So:
Either skip the component all together and give us HDSDI OR give us a proper component out AND HD-SDI.

Either way it needs to be a pre-compression image which is released through the port.
