Hi Phillip,
Just downloaded the mxf file. I'm on a mac and have fcp, mc, quicktime, VLC, but can't seem to play it. Suggetions? Thanks for providing, btw.

Ok, the market wins. The camera is now $5275, free ground shipping, UPS, double boxed, signature required and still includes the free battery.

Call to place the order since this isn't listed on the shop site. Over the past 28 days 5,861 people have watched the videos we produced and put online about the AG-HPX250. We have not sold a single camera. Just saying.

Probably because so many people seem to think that there's only one dealer to buy from (B&H). Which is silly. Texas Media Systems is a huge dealer, they're a sponsor here, and they have many satisfied customers, and they provide extensive customer service and support. I sure do wish people would give a dealer like this (or Spec-Comm or any of our other excellent sponsors) their business, instead of always resorting to the company with the biggest website.

Wow why the sudden price drop?
why are you complaining??? Supply and demand, my friend.
Had they sold in volumes they'd probably hike up the price for scarcity.
I'd like to see it go low as $4000 when the AF200
eventually makes its appearance in 2014 or before.
Meanwhile, I'm quite happy to rent it, if I should so desire.

Probably because they're all waiting for the November 3rd announcements. I bet you get a flood of orders (maybe mine too) on November 4th.

No Complaints here. I was more curious since I think that original MSRP I heard about was going to be around $6400, then it went to about $5900, now down to $5300, almost $1100 drop in price since its debut. I guess I'm more curious if people just weren't buying it. Not that its a bad camera, but lets face it, my HPX170 has at least another 2 years (when the 5 year warranty is up) of use before I consider an upgrade. By then who knows what will be out on the market.
