AG-HMC81 Zoom Remote

Hi
Can anyone recommend a remote zoom/focus for the HMC81. It's not that clear which ones are compatible, but I have noticed the Libec ZC-3DV is perhaps useable? Any help would be appreciated.

I use a VariZoom VZ-ROCK-DVX for zoom and start/stop and VZPFI for focus and iris. They work fine with the HMC80. I also have a VariZoom Stealth PZFI which combines all four functions in one unit, but at the expense of a smaller and fiddlier zoom control. I bought it for my AF100 and haven't tried it with the HMC yet.

Any controllers compatible with other Panny cams like the DVX, HVX, or other HMC models will work. Lanc controllers, which work on Sony and Canon are not compatible. The Libec model you mentioned is a switch hitter and can do both.

Note that the Libec only controls zoom and start/stop, but not focus or iris. Those functions are on a separate jack on the Panasonic cameras, but you can get various controllers that include different combinations of the functions. The Manfrotto 521PFI for focus and iris is also popular as are the Bebob Foxi units. Lots of choices!
