GH2 AG-AF100 vs. GH2 final round

Can you please use the exact same lenses for each camera.

Could you Try Af100 with standard SD card, Af100 with ProRes Capture device, Gh2 with standard codec, Gh2 with avcintra 176mb.

Maybe use the 20mm Lumix lens for some tests since it's soo popular. Just make sure each test uses the same lens for each camera and uses simliar settings.

I played with an AF100 one day and I really wasn’t impressed. However, I saw this video the other day that was filmed with an AF100. If a recompressed 720p video can look this good then I am a believer. I doubt this could be matched even with an over-hacked GH2.

I think it has more to do with knowing the camera and knowing how to film with it properly. Most people don’t fully understand how to use each setting on a GH2. There are about 10 times as many settings on the AF100.

They both may have similar sensors and use the same lenses. However, someone who knows what they are doing can produce a film with the AF100 that would be very difficult to do with the GH2 because of how flexible the AF100 is for Color curves. Hopefully, VK can hack the color profiles of the GH2. That would definitely make a difference.

Not bad but I see a bunch of issues. Mushyness... 720p? WHY? highlight and detail issues.... I am in the process of putting together a piece comprised of GH13, GH2hacked, and AF100 footage... will post it when done.
