Settings just to find out what happens if... am a little nervous about the noise I see but think it will get better when I will find better settings. If anybody has an idea why this settings are stupid... tell me.

AVCHD -> ProRes 422 (HQ) -> H264.MOV through FCP.

Windows in the set two fingers thick, giving some strange effects... but that was what our test with the ALEXA (Arri) and the YOKO (Panasonic) about.

Overall: I am happy with the camera, handling is good. Great tool if one does not expect the impossible from it.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing the scene settings with the video. Every frame is beautiful

Thanks for the tip..... I am new to the world of the digital and still learning....

Using NORM 2 will reduce the noise, but will also make the image slightly more magenta and quite a bit softer too. I ended up sticking with Norm1

Great shots.
Can only imagine how they would have been if they werent shot 5thru' the glass.

Images look great for follow up CC and grade.

Well done . Nice confidence building test.

Very nice stuff, especially since it was shot through treated glass.

Great looking traffic- how did you shoot looking down on the traffic?

100 mm Zeiss through the Windows. No filters, no nothing. Camera set first to something around 6000, later to 4200 ISO. A setting I like for night shots. Expected much more reflections and problems shooting in such an extremely "steep angle" (is this expression allowed in English?) through the glass that has a slightly greenish tinge.

We will probably use the AG-AF for time lapses all through the night looking at that cross-road and the train station and other special stuff we don't want to put the ALEXA through, along with a GH13, a GH2 and a Canon 5d... can you spell "multi-cam"...;-)

Will try to use NORM1 as Matrix now to reduce noise - all though, having started filming 16mm with tri-x and even the old AGFA and ORWO stuff, I don't mind a bit of snow.

Actually that's funny in Frankfurt: Banking towers adjoin on one side - towards the train station - directly to the red light district, maybe we can include into our story.

Six a clock in the morning now and heading for the first day of principal shooting.... cross your fingers.

Yes, "steep angle" is allowed, even perfect English.

Knowing it's the banking district, the Casino and Eros club make sense- have to keep the bankers happy, right?

So what made you try -2 Detail Coring? It looks very nice, but contradicts what we've heard to keep Coring at +2 to minimize noise.

Frankfurt's "Hell's Kitchen" does serve things for every taste an every size of bank account for those in need..... not my cup of tea though. But we will probably shoot a big feature about it's really cranky and weird history next year. Don't know if there is any big city where banking and bonking are so adjacent.... -)

Coring -2 was a mistake I believe now. Will try to slowly work my way up to 0 or even +2. See what it does.....
