Hi all... i was wondering if any one tried 16mm film camera (not s 16mm) lens with af100?

Ok, if i understood correctly 10-100 becomes 20-200....

But, will i be able to use the entire zoom range?

Also, will there be any vignette?

Thanks for the input.

Yeah it won't become a 20-200. It will only be usable at the widest point it doesn't vignette. Which you wouldnt really know until you slapped it on there. So it may be usable at 25,30,35??? 35-100 isn't that bad if it's a nice fast 16 lens. Not the route I would go.

I put that lens on the AF100, I showed a picture of it here somewhere on the forum. No real point to doing it. Massive vignetting at wide angle, and the glass isn't really all that great and it breathes heavily and it's not all that fast either. I've got two of those lenses, would be nice to be able to use them, but it's not practical. They're better on the GH2 where you can use the Extended TeleConverter function to avoid the vignetting.

If you want to do a post crop to 720p on the AF100, a Super16 lens would cover the central 1280x720 out of the 1080p frame. But the Zeiss 10-100 doesn't quite get that job done because it's only a Regular16 lens.

Thanks for the input.... i will still do a test with the zeiss lens on a red one cam at 2K and HD res.... Also on a af100 to see what i can do with the lens...
