Lens: CZ Jena Sonar 135

Filmed some today in the surroundings where I live, and this time with if not perfect backfocus, at least proper one.
This is framed to 1.85:1 for a test. And compromised with H.246 and it’s HIGH settings, but it’s not to good..
Two scenes are CC but the rest is raw.

H.246

Looks very good to be more specific:P

Very "grainless". Hehe:D I checked out some settings with the master ped after I saw this. I didn't know the difference was THAT big

Anyways.. the ONLY thing I could criticize was that you didn't have any music.. I know for a fact that music helps to get more people to really check videoclips like this out.. If that is your goal...

Keep at it! Make a movie:P

Wow, very crisp and clear! Looked great! Although like someone else said, music would've helped. What was this edited on?

I think that's more the amount of light than the MP. Al shots where shot under direct sunlight, which I think eliminates grain. And mostly why I wanted to show this vid is that I like to hear your oppinions, and also because this was the first with correct backfocus.

excellent footage. crisp clean. What lenses did you use? name brand and mm?
As mention abow, Carl Zeiss Jena Sonar 135 F3.5. It's a M42 lens.

You know, I though that I'm not willing to work on a music score if then people don't like the music, so I thought if I skip that, then maybe it's easier for people to watch the video? But I'll ad some next time and weel see if that makes it better...

Al was edited on Avid pro hd.

Glad you like the look!

Got one is brand new for 110$ but it probably cost way more when it first released.

And buy the way, I fixed a new version for you music lovers!

Yeah, is a great mount, you can find so many fabrics that made fantastic lenses for that mount, Carl Zeiss Jena for one...
And they are very cheap... Glad to be of use Wayne!

Now this, this is nice. Like paintings! Is this in Stockholm by the way?
And the first shot of the two dogs in the boat bobbing from side to side is hilarious, they look so...well, stupid :)
Good to see that the ducks are still alive as well.
Great footage! (and your focus also looks correct).

Hey, well the dogs are the show. But they seemed to have very nice behaviour. ;)
And the shots were shot outside of Stockholm, but you can easily take the buss here to Vaxholm, which is in the archipelago.

Yeah the adventure of backfocus has come to the end. And thanks for the help.

A couple questions.

First off, this looks wonderful. Great eye!

I have a DVX-100a. I will be getting a SGPro very shortly. What did you use for your 1.85 aspect ratio? Did you use a wide-angle conversion lens? Did you use the squeeze mode? Do you know if the squeeze mode works with the SGPro?

Last question. You used H2.64....Can you explain? I want my video quality to come out just as spectacular. Is this the quality setting you are using to capture and export your video? If not...please clarify. I would be so thankful.

Keep doing what you are doing; it is beautiful. Show us Stockholm.
