Is it just me, or does everyone have weird dreams if they take a nap in the afternoon?
I stayed home today because A) I have a cold, and B) the bedroom ceiling collapsed yesterday evening from the rain, and I wanted to be here if/when the landlord showed up.
Anyway, I took a nap around 3.
Dreamt a bunch of stuff I can't remember, then I dropped my cell phone and it flew apart all over the floor. All the pieces got mixed up in the other junk I have on the floor, so I couldn't tell what went with what. Batteries, plastic bits, springs, screws, etc. all over the place.
My wife and sister-in-law tried to help me put it back together, but they're not technically inclined.
Then a teeny tiny chipmunk raced across the flooor, zoomed under the bookshelf, then came back toward me. It jumped into my hand and started growing larger and larger. When it was about the size of a woodchuck, it jumped off and started chasing the cats.
I started to suspect that something wasn't normal in all this.
Then there was a banging sound from upstairs. I went upstairs and looked out the window and saw a bunch of people hammering shingles and tarring the roof.
That's when I knew for sure I was having a dream. No way would the landlord get anything done that quickly.
