After Effects Nuke Test

The visual is pretty solid, I'm not sure what more you could do in AE (though you can always do more in AE) but I think some work on the sound mix would really help sell it. You could add a whine for the missile incoming, some wind mixed with bacon frying for the shockwave...

Very true. I did slack off a little when it came to sound. I just found one sound on the internet of a nuke and threw it in there :P Thanks for the comment!

Yeah, what he said!

I basically used the same technique as Andrew Kramer did, I just changed a few things up so I wouldn't be ripping off his stuff.
 
Nice work - only thing I would add is a little bit more swirling in the smoke rather than just going straight up (effect > distort > liquify > twirl).
