African Doc: Cameraman Needed

[Timzilla]

Hi-

We've been contracted to do a short 40 min doc on a pretty nasty situation in Africa. Our cameraman just bailed for 'personal' reasons..

I'm looking for an experienced cameraman with your own DV equipment. (camera, mics etc.) Able to travel light with a very small crew for 3 weeks mid Sept-October.

I need someone who has great style, more of a cinematographer than operator. We will have camera 2 & sound help, but need someone who is fully contained, can shoot on the fly, able to sh*t in the woods / not afraid to eat a bug type of person. No whiners.

If you have a Panny DVX I am even more keen on you.. Not absolutely necessary though.

Please email me directly asap (reels@mindsetmedia.org) for more info and/or send reels to:

Re: African Doc: Cameraman Needed

Hi Tim,

I'm a Toronto-based cameraman (IATSE 667) and am purchasing the AG-DVX100A next week, along with the P&S 35mm lens adapter. I've shot plenty of news with Chum Television for years and freelanced for Life Network, Global TV and Startv (most recently a mini-doc on Boy-George in NYC). I'm interested in your posting, but would like to learn more about the project.
