Has anyone tried any of the products from http://kamerar.com ? I am amazed at the prices of their products, they look pretty high quality to me aswell. Also, they have free shipping internationally! Which is great for me, living in Australia :)

So, has anyone tried these guy's out?

I got the skater and the friction arm, great piece of gear,
I'm interested in other product as well but would like some feed back before...

Just to put in perspective a DVXUSER's member
Tony (Tlorenzo) sell a DIY skater for 700€ + 75€ for shipping inside europe = +-1000$ for you

Yeah I saw their site yesterday and immediately fell in love, looks good and very cheap.

I just ordered a follow focus from them tonight. Hopefully will get it by the end of the week. They sell their stuff on Amazon now although without knowing the name I doubt I would have found them on Amazon.

The follow focus seems like a nice unit and I look forward to trying it out. I will let everybody know how it goes once I get it. If I get it by the weekend I can play with it on Saturday.

Thanks for the replies everyone, i'm very interested in the Slider Dolly they have. I have never seen anything like this, looks pretty cool :)

The Slider Dolly looks cool and the price is great. I want to get that one also. In this difficult economic times companies have to realize that they will do better if they are able to price their products more competitive and reach a broader market.

Just got the follow focus today. Still waiting for my rails to mount it. Hope to get that tomorrow so I can play with this thing this weekend.

This thing is built well. All metal and pretty heavy duty. A little concerned about the weight since it seems to weigh more then my GH2. Will have to see how it all feels on my rig. May have to get a new rig with counter weights at the back to compensate. Pretty happy with it so far. Can't wait to take it for a spin.

I finally got my rails last week but due to the holiday week didn't have a chance to do anything with them.

I bought the Fotga rails which ended up being a much better build then I expected. Combined with the Kamerar follow focus this is a pretty solid setup. The follow focus is a bit heavy like I expected but once everything is together it is pretty sturdy. Both products combined together give me an insane amount of flexibility. I can use use the follow focus on my 20mm f1.7. Being able to flip the gears and configure how the follow focus is put together means I can have the gear right next to the body to actually fit the focus ring on the small pancake lens. Looks ridiculous but it works great. I doubt there is a lens that wouldn't work with this setup.

The Fotga screw that attaches to the camera is a bit tough to get at but as long as you have a coin in your pocket it shouldn't be any trouble. If you have nothing to fit the groove of the screw you may be SOL as I have found it almost impossible to get even my small fingers in there to loosen it. I may eventually add another Manfrotto quick release plate to that part to make removing my GH2 a bit easier.

Swapping lenses with this setup is surprisingly easy since the follow focus is so easy to pull away from the lens.

The gear on the follow focus from Kamerar however has teeth that are too big. Not sure if this is common but you pretty much have to use their rubber gear ring. Speaking of the rubber ring it seems to work very well. I may need to buy a few extra so I can cut some of them however. They are way too long for the tiny m4/3 lenses and I end up having a lot left over that gets in the way easily with such a compact setup. I'm sure with m4/3 this is a common problem.

The Fotga itself has a very nice adjustable lens support for heavier lenses. I may finally feel like using some of my heavy FD zooms.

Overall I am very happy. I don't have another set of rails and follow focus to compare this to but it works exactly how I would expect it to. Of course the focus by wire of m4/3 lenses is a bit odd but that is just the way it is. If anybody is interested I can try to take some pictures of the rig.
