Hi there,
Wondering if anyone could advise me on some options for recording decent sound on a low budget. Primarily I will be shooting short films and short documentary peices. Ideally I would like a set up where I can use a mic stand and microphone for indoor scenes and a camera mounted option for outdoor and moving shots.
I use a Panasonic GH1 and I am aware of the short fallings of recording directly into camera. Does anyone have any suggestions for any digital sound recorder & microphone combinations to fit a budget of $300 or less?
Having done some research it seems one realistic option would be the Zoom H1, but I am unsure of what Microphone to use with it. The Rode Video Mic Pro seems to be a popular option for in-camera recording but how does it work alongside the zoom? Or would a cheaper alternative work just as well with the H1?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.
