AF105 Region/Language Coding?

Hey folks,

I live in the US, and am in the market for an AF100. What may be luck, I managed to find a cheap AF105, the Japanese version of this camera. Only thing is, I'm afraid that the camera may be region coded, and I may be unable to get the language setting of the camera to English. Does anyone have any information that might help me here? Is it possible to change the settings of the AF105 to make it identical to the AF100 for North American use? Or are they essentially two different cameras? Thanks!

yes you can use it but you wont have warranty in the US

I bought two panasonic cameras when I was working / living in Japan. Both were AG series like the AF, both came standard in English - there was no Japanese.

Keep in mind your three year warranty will be in Japan. Not the best, and it won't come with Barry Green's book.

Okay, thanks so much guys for the quick response! I'll keep that in mind about the warranty, which may just cause me to stick with an AF100 over here. Tough call. But thanks again!
