The first cameras only arrived in NZ the week before XMAS day so I doubt you will find the rental companies putting them out until they have tested them and set them up for rental.

Julian from Niche Cameras has one for hire as we speak. Took one of the first orders.

If you just want to run tests, Panasonic may have a demo unit available.

I have an arrangement with A2Z to link me to someone when they take delivery of one ( in Auckland) and do some tests at that time in conjunction with them.
( I have one on order with them with the purchase subject to tests to my satisfaction)
Renting one from Niche will make the process easier and more convenient.
I have a lot of un resolved questions in my mind about this camera and want to do this sooner rather than later.
MAybe you want to get involved? ( Let me know)

I was meant to get one before christmas for exactly that reason, all got away on me with commitments. I'll put a call into them tomorrow see what if can settle on a day - sure I'd love to look at the production model closely.
