I shot this stuff today, not a planned shoot just capturing some river work I happened upon.

http://vimeo.com/21429659

The camera was in full auto, autofocus, auto iris, auto white balance
lens 14-140 lumix
45-200 lumix

Notice how as the iris adjusts there is a stepping function, no worse than other cameras Sony's etc with electronic mapped lenses..

camera setting were aurantaurant's settings for "dont stop now"

How many minutes did you shoot and how many times, if ever, did the AF miss? Did you have to take away many clips since they were completely bad?

The AF did miss occasionally, but no worse than the bunch on Sony stuff Z1 / Z5 / Z7 I'v shot with, if anything compared to the Sony's its a faster AF but it hunts around a bit until it finds focus, were as the Sony is slower but does not hunt around as much it just gets there.
Generally as I whip panned looking for my next shot the AF would hunt for half a sec and then settle down in focus.

In some cases the AF is doing its stuff as I slowly pan, i had lots of ND in and an open aperture to try to get some nice DOF but i could not with those lenses...but the AF did hold focus...the shot were i pan up the barge 0'44 the AF was keeping it in focus.

Also 1'10" I did iris down a bit look how black the shovel is whilst keeping detail ....

i really did not have to throw that much away, Its probably faster than me on a fully manual broadcast lens...

Did the AF ever really goof it up...yes trying to focus just on water gave it problems but as i said no worse than anything else i have used,,,
To sum up the AF is fast but hunts and settles down compared to Sony which is slower but just glides into focus...usually

Well it's nice to see the auto focus works. This is the first clip I've seen where Auto Focus was addressed. Looks good to me...
