Hi All,

I have a hyperdeck shuttle v2 and have been recording with it both uncompressed and compressed,

Before I report my af101 as broken can anyone shed light on this.

When filming to an external recorder via both sdi/hdmi the bottom horizontal line of pixels are black. I dusted off my old hv20 to check it wasnt a problem in the recorder, works fine, no black pixels so it has to be camera or how camera interacts with hyperdeck shuttle.
see the dark horizontal pixel.jpg
Bottom line of pixels are black? Anyone who uses hyperdeck shuttle get the same?
Any ideas?

The other problem is the dnxhd quicktime file has gamma issues in premiere pro cs5.5. but its a beta release and other cams on other forums are having same issue so hopefully I can resolve that.

No reply to this so I shall rephrase.
Can anyone who has a hyperdeck shuttle/af100 look at the bottom row of any footage they have shot and tell me if it is black?
It would be very useful to find out if I have a problem here.
many thanks
Craig

Thanks that's useful.
i have 2 hyperdecks, the version 1 and 2 and both do this. I should now check footage on a different edit setup.
Whatever happens I will post results to here for anyone who experiences this issue.

Hi, I am having a nightmare dealing with panasonics uk support. They took my camera to check for this issue, they have just returned it with a patronising note declaring no fault, with supporting images of a monitor displaying the image off my camera and cu shots of top and bottom saying black at top and bottom is normal (as if you could tell how many rows of pixels are displayed from a photo!). I spoke to a panny engineer on the phone who was really dismissive and said its the timing on my pc!?
On a hyperdeck? Anyone have any suggestions?

I just did a multi-cam wedding shoot Saturday . . . only my AF-100 utilized the Shuttle2, but I'm not having your issue (or any problems for that matter).

These may be dumb suggestions (on my part) but, here goes:
1. Assumming you are also recording to an SD card simultaneously . . . are you experiencing the same issue with those clips?
2. You ARE running the most current firmware for the Shuttle2 (I think it's 3.0), right?
3. Have you tried a replacement cable (sounds like you did)?

The OCZ should be an OK drive .. fast enough not to "scan out". Next experiment would be to
record the BNC into another device .. maybe another camera and see if you get the missing
scan line. or use a monitor ..

I've not seen this problem on the AF100 (dropping the last scan ).
