Here is a short snapshot from a golf day I recently covered in the UK. Shot using a Panasonic AF101 with a Carl Zeiss CP.2 50mm and a Voigtlander 25mm .95, just using the cameras codec. I hope you agree that great lenses with this camera bring out really great results. Sparky x

I like it quite a bit. It's really fantastic looking.

As a quick question what's the 'secret' to the Highlight video you have posted? I recently purchased my camera and haven't had enough time to check into the highlight issues however if I have to combat it at some point care to share the secrets?

Nice images, and that bokeh is something else. If the next GH can add a couple of stops dynamic range, and VK keeps coming to the party, I'll stop buying cameras.

'Twas breezy, and the balls did blow into the rough...
All highlights were under control, and the native codec did outshine...

Very clever groveChuck!
I usually shoot using the ATOMOS Ninja as well, but I forgot to bring along the actual drive that slots into the Ninja on this shoot so I just used the cameras codec - and I forgot just how good it is! There is no grading to any of these images and I just love them. There are some other really impressive images I couldn't include because of the nature of the job, but it performed so consistently well. It does take some time though to nail exposure on this AF101 (much easier now thanks to waveform monitor of the TVLOGIC screen - focus assist is awesome on this monitor as well), but I think 90% of the time I am there or there abouts. I also use a Sony PDW-700 for my ENG work (high end XDCAM camera) but I have to say I prefer the look of the 101's images. I am also just about to get a Carl Zeiss CP.2 85mm to go in the bag as well and I just can't wait to use it. One day I'll read a book on how to actually save some money!
Thanks for taking the time to view. Sparky x

Try these settings (below) - I have no issues with highlights at all! Don't know what the fuss is about! I use these for everyshoot and am always really impressed with the picture:

Scene Select: F2
detail level: -1
v detail level: -3
detail coring: -4
Master Ped: -3
Gamme: Cine-Like V
Matrix: Norm 1

Ha ha, thanks Sparky (and apologies to Lewis Carroll )-

This is just beautiful, ungraded, native codec footage!
I've frequently used a friend's PDW-335, and definitely prefer the AF's image, too!

I was going to ask for your settings, but see you've posted them- thanks!

Cheers!
