AF101 / 100 HDMI out???

Can someone clever pls clear up once and for all exactly what our lovely little Panna 101/100s output via the HDMI?
Current info all points to a 25p frame split into two interlace halves and then output as 50i..
On a current project FCP is having trouble interpreting this. HDMI out is recorded onto Ninja ProRes HQ and captured into FCP. Field dominance settings are - NONE.
This should result in a 'field combination' stitch of the two interlace half fields back into a 25p frame / project. FCP describes it now as 25p but it's not a TRUE 25p. It seems blended / blurred / processed in some way when compared to sd card avchd material similarly imported into FCP.
When both sources are exported full quality from FCP and viewed blown up, the AVCHD material has the edge!
Seems some deinterlacing artifacts are creeping into the HDMI 50i material in FCP. But why? Can't figure it out unless the two interlaced fields from the camera are actually not identical and FCP is applying a deinterlace algorithm on the run.
Confused and wondering why the 50i HDMI output recorded as ProRes HQ looks less good than the SD card AVCHD material when put through the edit?????
