Af100 workflow

This my first time using this camera for a broadcast content. I need experienced input.

I will be shooting a 50 min local broadcast content, a dramady shot in reality tv style (sorta)

a- Whant to shoot 1080 p.

b- using sd cards 32gb 10 speed

How do I download to computer? usb or via card reader?

Would using sdxc cards present any workflow issues?

1-I will be shooting in af100 video style .with 14-140 lumix lens.

2-Capture in prelude (cs6) transcoding to avid dnahd 720.

3- editing in premiere and exporting 4x3 sd.

System sony vaio fx quad i7 1.83, nvidia 1gb 425m card, 8gb ram, 1 external esata drive for rendering and 1 external usb3 drive for video depot.


Your input will be greatly appreciated

A card reader will do the job
Test your cards and workflow before shooting
Why are you transcoding?
You can bypass Prelude unles you have a particular reason to use it. eg a pre edit.

The external USB drive may or maynot give you issues

I want a smoother editing timeline. I feel that the avchd codec can slow my system down. I will use prelude because i can trans code in it.
