Hi Guys,
I recently purchased a 17-55 AF-S DX Nikon lens for my D300,
And i was hoping to use the lens on My AF100....

The only issue i have is that the Iris/F Stop cant be used!!

Have i missed something??

I have read Barry Greens article on this..
But im lost ..

Any advise would be appreciated

Cheers

Hi ZaraCast, i use the mtf adapter obviously its the wrong one...have u had any experience with this yourself??

No, I use my beautiful old manual Nikon glass! ...but there are many here that use newer stuff no problems.
Checkout the AF100 Thread, lots of info there.

I have the Novoflex one for the same lens you're trying to use, I like it, well built and seems to do the job.

Eureka,

Congratulations! I have a lot of experience with this lens and the AF100. It lives on my camera 95% of the time. I suggest that you run, don't walk, to wherever you can purchase the

Novoflex Nikon to Micro Four Thirds Lens Adapter

Especially if you shoot hand held, documentary style. This is THE setup for you!

The BLUE ring is the Novoflex aperture control ring for Nikon "G" (for "Gelded") lenses.

Hi Guys
I figured out that my mtf adapter has that iris ring...and it works fine...Why do you highly rate the Novoflex??
cheers

Thinking that all adapters must be created equal, I previously purchased a Kipon adapter. It was KRAP!

The Novoflex is a quality product.

MTF and Novoflex both make quality adapters, you should be fine with the MTF version. I personally like the design and quality of my Novoflex.

It seems I've asked this before, so forgive my lack of memory - with the Novolflex adapter, is the iris continuously adjustable without steps?

It seems so ironic to me that people will pay to have their old lenses de-clicked and tolerate those terrible bumps in the auto lenses.

Yes, with the Novoflex, you get stepless control over ALL Nikon lenses.

I just received this lens - the Nikon 17-55 2.8 DX - and I am waiting for my Novoflex. Right now the aperture is all the way closed... I am assuming that the only way to open it up is to mount it to a nikon camera - is this correct?
