I had a major problem using the AF100 LCD outside. It was just so reflective! After using a loupe with my 550D I wanted an eyepiece for my AF100 LCD and the Hoodman H305KP kit was the only thing that would work.
The loupe will attach to the LCD OK but really it is too heavy. I copied an idea from another member of DVXUser (http://tinyurl.com/6areku4) and added a cold shoe to my Hoodman loupe and used my COOLLCD magic arm to support it.
The camera can now be used properly shoulder mounted with the side LCD becoming an EVF and I can now use the camera properly outside.
The first big downside is the price. I paid around £150 for this loupe kit! The second downside is the optics. The loupe is very well made but the optics are horrible! Even when looking straight on the sides of the image are warped. The centre is quite sharp but the sides are not. The 3x magnification also sucks.
I put my £35 vfinder loupe to the screen and it is so much better it is unreal BUT unfortunately nobody makes a loupe for 4" screens so we are stuck with the Hoodman kit.
All in all I am glad I bought it but seriously, the optics are shockingly bad for such a high-end product.
