Whenever I evaluate a camera system, I start with the issues that impact my work, and they always fall into a few categories. First, I'm curious how the camera responds in terms of noise and image structure, followed by how to define the best sharpness settings, and then how it performs for green and blue screen work based on the first two items.
Right out of the gate I like to know how it handles daylight vrs tungsten. Is one better than the other for the camera? So, here's a layered Photoshop file to look over that takes a look at the noise and grain characteristics of 3200K vrs 5400K.

This is part of a larger series of tests of noise (I'll share soon), and the setup is simple; the camera is pointed at a white card, thrown out of focus and using the waveform monitor I set the level to 15 IRE. This test looks at both 0db gain and 15db gain under the two lighting conditions.
I record to the nanoFlash at 280Mb/sec i-frame to remove the camera's codec from the equation. The samples are 640 by 360 1:1 center cuts from the frame grabs.
So, download, load up into Photoshop and have a go. Toggle on the "adjustment" layer to expand the noise out to full 0-255 range for examination. Toggle on and off the various layers (they're labled) and in the channel palette, do the same.
My conclusions are that this camera performs a bit better in Tungsten than in Daylight in both the green and red channels, with only the blue channel looking "better" and less chunky under daylight. While I recorded enough material to go through levels of IRE and most of the gain settings, spot checking indicates that this pattern follows throughout.
Camera settings; gamma HD NORM, knee low, matrix NORM1, detail -4 coring +2.
