Af100 software upgrade problems

I purchased the 1080/50p software upgrade for the af100 and am having problems with it. As per the instructions, I formatted a SD card in the camera then exported the product serial of the camera to the card then inserted the card into my computer. I should see a folder marked PRIVATE/MEIGROUP/PAVCN/SBG/P2SD/ACTV/ i which isn't there. Instead, I see a 718 byte file called Private that the computer informs me has AVCHD content.

Firmware version in my camera is 1.23-00-0.00. I don't have access to a PC to check whether this is a Mac related problem. I'm using an IMac running 10.8.5. Has anyone else faced this issue when upgrading?

I ordered the upgrade when I first bought my AF100 and had alot of problems with the install. Panasonic tech support tried to walk me through he process step by step, but nothing worked. They finally had me send it in and did the install at Panny at no cost to me. No real explanation was given as to the solution, but it now shoots 1080/60p.

I tried to get it upgraded and even with tech support could not get the firmware updated, which PANASONIC said was needed in order to do the upgrade. They offered to have me send it in, but said it would cost me a service call. Right now, I have not had idle time with the camera in my schedule to get it in their shop.
