AF100 slider

Wondering what people would recommend as a good entry level slider for the AF100. Have found some stuff on the net but things tend to change quite quickely. Have heard good things about the Koolerton ones but not sure if they are only good for DSLRs. Mainly want to use it for product shots so not sure if a motorised one is necessary but would be interested in entry level motorised ones. Not looking to record sync sound so motor noise is not a issue.

I am in the UK.

Since everybody might see entry level at differing points, it might be a good idea to state your intended budget for a slider, and whether or not that budget includes support for the slider, or if you already have a support device. Something else to think about, do you want a slider which only supports your AF10o type camera, or a slider which might support any of your future camera purchases?

Hpaefuly £200 (or less) for manual one, not sure if there is any point in motorised one. I have a Vinten Vision Blue tripod I was hoping to use but also want to use it on the floor. Using Panny MFT glass which are light. Would be good to be able to use it with DSLR also but if I end up using it a lot would probably upgrade (its just for a single job currently, was thinking of hiring but thought I would investigate buying).

Yes having a slider is nice. But if you are going to own one, rather than spending money on top of money, save up for the slider you really want.

I tried a lot of sliders, and ended up with a Pocket Dolly II for locations with limited space. It does fine with the AF100. But if you load the camera down with heavy head and a big PL mount zoom it can get a little unstable, just like any of the lighter sliders. I also have a Dana Dolly which works great for any weight cameras including very heavy rigs, and can do very long moves when using longer rails.

Not sure mate - its a one metre long one that runs on bearings, got it a few years back now, think they've had an upgrade since.
i run an AF101 with lens and Samurai Blade on it without any problems, usually on a single tripod as the f**king thing takes way too long to set up, adjust etc on a double tripod

Here's a basic but versatile alternative... it works a lot better than it looks! Low price of admission. Very DanaDollyisque (smaller scale). No harm in checking out their website. Just another possible option.
