af100 on big screen

Just watched a first project (short narrative film) on a big screen (st anthony main for those of you in the twin cities area, as part of the international film festival)...thought it looked great. I was ac and my partner shot it. Not that I was doubting the purchase of the af100 but damn it was fun to see it on a huge screen, in front of a full house.

The narrative shorts will be repeated on May 4, 945pm at St. Anthony Main in minneapolis...project I worked on was called 'the comeback" by Pat Coyle who recently did the feature "into temptation".

We did use a ki pro mini with std pro res...yes, it would have been nice to compare the sd cards...at least with the types of scenes we shot I couldn't really tell a difference on the panasonic broadcast monitor hooked up in the edit suite.

Congratulations.

Did you screen from a Film Print by any chance?

Not being elitist or anything - it would be nice for any of us to afford the luxury of a Film Print, and possibly just an indulgence in some cases.

I'd just really like to hear how AF100 footage transfers to a Film Print if you or anyone else out there has done it, even just a test?

Obviously I want to hear it looks amazing so I can feel even better about the Camera.

Anyway, well done.

very cool. I just had my first af100 big screen experience and was blown away (all AVCCAM footage). output was HDCAM SR tape/deck, not sure projection. but it definitely opens up using the camera for myself on future projects.
