AF100: no 1080p video output for monitoring on external monitor?

Is it not possible to monitor 1080p out with the AF100 via the HD-SDI port??? Is it only 1080i or 720p??? Because on my AF100 monitor I only have 1080i or 720p as options on the SDI port.

you can output 1080p 24psf from the sdi output.

Thanks Sunn_j. Didn't see that. So 1080p 24psf gives you the resolution of 1080p for monitoring on an external monitor???

I have a Flanders Scientific 1770W model. But I set my AF100's SDI port to 720p and noticed the resolution wasn't that good on my 1770W. Will try 1080p 24 psf hoping I get the 1080p resolution.

I believe it will only work if your monitor accepts a psf signal. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

i Sunni. I just checked the specs and my monitor accepts 1080p 24sf and 23.98sf, will it work then?

I believe so. You have to go into the af100 menu and turn psf on

My understanding is that HD SDI (from any camera) can not handle 1080 progressive only interlace, you need 3G-SDI to transmit 1080p. This is why we have PSF which splits the progressive frame into two fields so it can use SDI and be viewed on monitors.

I use a Flanders monitor (albeit a different model) with the AF100. Works great.
