AF100 Internal Filenames

I've set my AF100 to start naming clips based on digits like 00000 and up. This is the only way to get unique names per file from the camera that doesn't have the # in it. I know it won't generate a title for files like the HVX does, so this number thing is fine. However, it resets when I format my card each time. Is there anyway for it to be set so it's not resetting to 00000 every time?

Definitely frustrating to deal with :/ I have duplicate files all over my hard drive and even if they're in folders, it's pretty confusing.

perhaps you can copy the MTS files to a folder off card. Do a file rename based on time which gives them a unique file name. Use Clipwrap to convert to proRes.

Can you show me this on set tomorrow???

So you're telling me there's no way to have the camera continue to increase in filename number even if I swap cards or reformat? That's disappointing.

I've just been doing a batch-rename using Adobe CS5 Bridge, Bridge is actually pretty useful for any metadata chores. I have not found a way to do a time-of-day file naming in Camera (which really would solve this issue) .

Have you tried the "DELETE CLIP" function? I always use format my cards too, but I wonder if you use the delete clip function instead, maybe it won't reset the counter?

The problem with that is over time the card will likely become fragmented and not perform the best. Reformatting is the best method.
