AF100 Insurance

I just bought this camera on Ebay. It came with a nice pelican case, two batteries, Nikon lens adapter, and the lumix 14-140 lens. All for $2800 shipped! I couldn't pass up the deal. Now I have my insurance through www.filmemporium.com and my questions to you guys is even though I got it cheap, how much should I insure all of this for? Thanks!

Wouldn't you insure it for the current full retail price?

I haven't gotten any equipment insurance before. Do you like this company? I'm looking on their website and they seem pretty good. Any idea what the premium would run, on say $15,000 or so worth of equipment? Like, are we talking $30/ month, or more?

I just insured my fs700, all my lenses, and tripod through Safco ins.
$13500 worth of gear only cost me $96.00 a year or $8 a month with a $1000 deductible.

The insurance company asked for a copy of the sales receipt when I asked for the coverage to cover full retail price.

Oh, that's not bad at all! I'm guessing that editing equipment can be included and all. From my research, I like the fact that you can add specified days of a shoot with production insurance.

I see that there's lots of threads about insurance on here, so I'll give it a search when I get a spare moment. I'm hoping that there will be one company that stands out that a lot of people use and recommend. It looks like the bottom line is don't use your homeowner's insurance and expect them to pay when something happens.
