Af100 from camera to nle

Hi, I have been reading as much as I can on this topic but I cant seem to find any specific method for this.
I am new to the AF-100 and I am having a hard time with the media that is on my SD card.
I have downloaded the AVCCAM Viewer program and used it, however it does not really do what I am looking for.
Back when I first started with digital workflow I started on an HVX workflow and I was thinking that it would be the same for the AF.
Then I started working with HD/DSLRs (Canon) .MOV to .mov and I loved working with that because of how easy it was to preview on a MAC and import the files and work with them into FCP.
Now I have footage I shot with the AF100 and need to edit it and I cant seem to find a way to get the footage into FCP, or just preview on a MAC.

I know that with the HVX P2 workflow from camera to NLE there was a couple different ways to do it and a right and not so right way to import your footage.
As well as the CANON workflow there is a couple ways to do a transfer and import.
Are there different ways to do this with the AF100-SD card workflow?
I would like to know the way(s) to get the footage from my camera to FCP and how I could preview my footage on my MAC.

Thanks Jan, I was not sure how important the Capture presets were ...I would set my sequence presets to ProRes but i wondered if using a different capture preset would affect the transcoding quality
 
Yes thank you, I was able to pull up the files in FCP7. Esentially it is the same as the HVX.
I take it there is no alternative way to preview your clips besides using AVCCAM Viewer or having to launch FCP... (For Non Snow Leopard)

I was reading another post by editman and I think Ill have to install Snow Leopard use the AVCCAM importer,
but that seems to have its own host of issues. Any input will be appreciated.
