AF100 flickering footage

Shot a wedding the other day and the reception had some major light flickering. I played around with the shutter speed but nothing seemed to work -- this is how it looked in the viewfinder. It was shot at 24p. Should I have shot it at 30p?

Were there flourescent lights in the ceiling at the reception? Older (non electronic) ballasts in flo lights can cause flickering in video footage. Not sure if 30p would have solved the problem.

It was not the frame rate that gave you problems, it was the shutter speed. Next time try shooting at 1/60th shutter speed (or 1/50th if you are in a 50hz country). The flickering is due to the fact that florescent lights are non-continuous lights, so you have to match the frequency with the shutter speed in order to eliminate flicker.
