Af100 first tests, color correction.

Here are a few of our first attempts with the af100 at filming and color correcting. We mainly do fiction/narrative (short films, etc). I am less concerned with the complete absence of noise and so called 'perfect-picture' and more concerned with using the image palette to create a feeling. Was edited and color corrected in FCP with magic bullet looks.

Probably all filmed with Cinelike-D and norm1 matrix
All natural light. Will do more test with lighting setups soon.

I thought the camera's avchd codec held up in post very well, but I think an external recorder could do even better. And with proper lighting the camera can really shine.

Still experimenting though with detail settings, and what will work best for post production and trying to get a filmic look that is gradable. Most of these shots were taking on the fly and not meant to be perfect motion or anything like that. Simply wanted to see what different grades would look like.

Cinelike D
norm1
detail -4
v detail -4
chroma level 0 (probably going to try lower settings soon)
M-ped -2

All outdoors shots were with 14-140
indoor shots were a mix of 14-140 and zeiss zf's 35, 50, 85.

First is just a run through of some color corrected pics at the river, then shows the originals right with the graded, then some random shots indoors, straight from camera and graded.
